(a) The board may contract with a political subdivision of this state or with a state or federal agency for the district to:(1) furnish a mobile emergency medical service; or(2) provide for the investigatory or welfare needs of district inhabitants.(b) The board may contract with this state or a federal agency for the care and treatment of a sick or injured person.
