(a) As permitted by the Texas Constitution and Chapter 61, Health and Safety Code, the district may:(1) enter into a contract relating to the provision of health care services on terms the board determines to be in the district's best interests; and(2) make payments under the contract.(b) The term of a contract under this section may not exceed 15 years.
