(a) A construction or purchase contract that involves the expenditure of more than the amount provided by Section 271.024, Local Government Code, may be made only after advertising in the manner provided by Subchapter B, Chapter 271, Local Government Code.(b) Section 271.059, Local Government Code, relating to performance and payment bonds, applies to construction contracts let by the district.
