§ 1083.054

(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:(1) a resident of the district;(2) a registered voter; and(3) more than 18 years of age at the time of election or appointment.(b) A person who is elected from a commissioners precinct or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that precinct.(c) A district employee may not serve as a director.
