(a) The district is governed by a board of 12 directors as follows:(1) two directors elected from each commissioners precinct; and(2) four directors appointed by the Crosby County Commissioners Court.(b) Directors serve staggered two-year terms.(c) A directors' election shall be held annually on the May uniform election date, or another date authorized by law, to elect the appropriate number of directors.(d) The commissioners court shall annually within 10 days of the date that elected directors are elected appoint the appropriate number of directors.
