(a) The district is governed by a board of seven directors elected as follows:(1) one director elected from each commissioners precinct; and(2) three directors elected from the district at large.(b) Directors serve staggered four-year terms.(c) An election shall be held in each even-numbered year on the May uniform election date prescribed under Section 41.001, Election Code, or another date authorized by law, to elect the appropriate number of directors.
