(a) The board may spend district money to recruit physicians, nurses, or other trained medical personnel.(b) The board may:(1) contract with a full-time medical or nursing student who is enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school, college, or university; and(2) agree to pay the student's tuition or other costs or expenses if the student agrees to serve in the district on terms prescribed by the contract.
