(a) The district shall provide for:(1) the establishment of a hospital system by:(A) purchasing, constructing, acquiring, repairing, or renovating buildings and equipment; and(B) equipping the buildings; and(2) the administration of the hospital system for hospital purposes.(b) The board shall determine the type, number, and location of buildings required to maintain an adequate hospital system.(c) The hospital system may include:(1) outpatient clinics; and(2) any other facilities the board considers necessary for hospital care.
