§ 1114.054

(a) To qualify for election to the board, a person must be:(1) a resident of the district; and(2) a qualified voter.(b) In addition to the qualifications required by Subsection (a), a person who is elected from a commissioners precinct or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that commissioners precinct.(c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:(1) the district administrator;(2) a district employee;(3) a member of the hospital staff; or(4) an employee of a member of the hospital staff.
