(a) Before an annual budget described by Section 1117.201 is adopted, the board shall call a public hearing on the budget.(b) Notice of the hearing must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the district not later than the 10th day before the date of the hearing.(c) After the budget is adopted, the following must be published one time in a newspaper of general circulation in the district:(1) a brief form of the adopted budget by general heading;(2) the annual budget for the preceding fiscal year in a form similar to the form described by Subdivision (1); and(3) the actual expenditures for the preceding fiscal year, including fiscal year account balances.
