(a) Chapter 49, Water Code, does not apply to the district.(b) The district's authority under this chapter is not intended to duplicate the authority granted to the Chambers-Liberty Counties Navigation District or to limit the authority or jurisdiction of the navigation district. To the extent the laws of this chapter conflict with the laws of that navigation district, the laws of the navigation district control over this chapter. Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1277, Sec. 1, eff.
