A director is not entitled to compensation for service on the board but is entitled to be reimbursed for necessary expenses incurred in carrying out the duties of a director. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.02, eff. April 1, 2007.
