The district may join and pay dues to an organization that:(1) is exempt from federal income taxation under Section 501(a), Internal Revenue Code of 1986, by being listed as an exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3), (4), or (6) of that code; and(2) performs a service or provides an activity consistent with the furtherance of a district purpose.
