MEMBERSHIP IN CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION. The district may join and pay dues to an organization that:(1) enjoys tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6), Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (26 U.S.C. Section 501), as amended; and(2) performs a service or provides an activity that furthers a district purpose. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 728 (H.B. 2018), Sec. 18.004(i), eff.
