The mayor and members of the governing body of the City of Houston shall appoint directors from persons recommended by the board who meet the qualifications prescribed by Subchapter D, Chapter 375, Local Government Code. Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1277, Sec. 1, eff. April 1, 2005.
