A director is not entitled to compensation for service on the board but is entitled to reimbursement for necessary and reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of a director. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 468 (S.B. 1892), Sec. 1, eff. June 17, 2006.
