To protect the public interest, the district may contract with a qualified party, including Harris County or the City of Pearland, to provide law enforcement services in the district for a fee. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 444 (S.B. 1813), Sec. 1, eff. June 17, 2005.
