To protect the public interest, the district may contract with a qualified party, including Harris County or the City of Pearland, to provide law enforcement services in the district for a fee. Added by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1344 (S.B. 1984), Sec. 1, eff. June 15, 2007.
