To protect the public interest, the district may contract with a qualified party, including Galveston County or the City of Dickinson, to provide law enforcement services in the district for a fee. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 458 (S.B. 1866), Sec. 1, eff. June 17, 2005.
