§ 3854.053

(a) Notwithstanding Chapter 43, Local Government Code, a municipality in whose extraterritorial jurisdiction the district is located may annex all or part of the district. Annexation does not result in a total or partial dissolution of the district or an assumption by the annexing municipality of any of the district's obligations or indebtedness.(b) A municipal annexation of all or part of the district has no effect on the validity of the district, and the district shall continue to exist and exercise the powers granted by this chapter.
