The governing body of the city shall fill a vacancy on the board by appointing a person who meets the qualifications prescribed by Section 3871.051(a) or 3871.053 to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term. Added by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1067 (H.B. 4720), Sec. 1, eff. June 19, 2009.
