If the district has maintenance and operation tax money that is not needed for the purposes for which it was collected, the money may be used for any authorized purpose. Added by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 587 (H.B. 3852), Sec. 1, eff. June 17, 2011.
