Texas Legal Code
(a) The district is governed by a board of directors as provided in this section.(b) Five directors are elected in the manner provided by Subchapter D, Chapter 49, Water Code.(c) The city may appoint one additional director to the board.(d) Section 375.063, Local Government Code, does not apply to a director appointed by the city.(e) If the city exercises its right to appoint a director under Subsection (c), the board consists of six directors while the appointed director serves on the board. If the city does not exercise its right to appoint or reappoint a director under Subsection (c), the board consists of five directors.(f) Except as provided by Section 3980.0204, directors serve staggered four-year terms.
