(a) Effective August 30, 1971, the name of the Harris County Houston Ship Channel Navigation District of Harris County, Texas, is changed to the Port of Houston Authority of Harris County, Texas.(b) Effective August 30, 1971, the name of the Board of Navigation and the Canal Commissioners of the authority is changed to the port commission, and the title of each member is port commissioner.(c) Effective August 30, 1971, the title of general manager of the authority is changed to executive director.
