(a) A port commissioner shall file the financial statement required of state officers under Subchapter B, Chapter 572, Government Code, with:(1) the authority; and(2) the Texas Ethics Commission.(b) Subchapter B, Chapter 572, Government Code:(1) applies to a port commissioner subject to this section as if the port commissioner were a state officer; and(2) governs the contents of, timeliness of filing, public inspection of, and civil and criminal penalties relating to a statement filed under this section.
