(a) As soon as practicable after each election of commissioners, the board shall elect a president, vice president, and secretary and treasurer.(b) The board may:(1) employ a port director and other officers as required to manage and operate the district and, subject to the board's orders, delegate that authority;(2) employ and prescribe the duties of officers, agents, and employees;(3) set the compensation of officers, agents, and employees; and(4) remove any employee.
