(a) The district may impose an annual ad valorem tax at a rate not to exceed 15 cents on each $100 valuation of taxable property in the district for the maintenance, operation, and upkeep of the district and the facilities, properties, and improvements constructed or acquired by the district.(b) Elections may be held to increase, reduce, or abate a tax imposed under this section, subject to the limit prescribed by Subsection (a).(c) A maintenance tax election must be held in the same manner as a bond election.
