(a) A tax authorized by this chapter, whether for bonds or maintenance purposes, must be imposed by the board.(b) Each year, the board shall certify to the Orange County tax assessor-collector the rate or rates of tax that the board has imposed for bonds and maintenance purposes.(c) The Orange County tax assessor-collector shall assess and collect taxes imposed by the board in the manner provided by Chapter 62, Water Code.
