The district has the rights, powers, privileges, and duties of a drainage district created under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, including the right to:(1) impose taxes; and(2) issue bonds. Added by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.05, eff. April 1, 2009.
