(a) The boundaries of the district are coextensive with the boundaries of the city of Hillsboro as those boundaries existed on January 1, 1977, and as the district territory may have been modified under:(1) Sections 6904.052 and 6904.053 or their predecessor statute, Section 6, Chapter 713, Acts of the 65th Legislature, Regular Session, 1977;(2) Subchapter J, Chapter 49, Water Code;(3) Subchapter O, Chapter 51, Water Code, before September 1, 1995; or(4) other law.(b) An invalidity in the fixing of the boundaries of the city of Hillsboro as they existed on January 1, 1977, does not affect the boundaries of the district.
