A statute of this state relating to the granting of franchises is not applicable to:(1) the authorization or execution of a mortgage or encumbrance entered into under this chapter; or(2) the grant of a franchise under this chapter. Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1277, Sec. 1, eff. April 1, 2005.
