(a) A director, officer, agent, or employee of the authority may not be directly or indirectly interested in a contract for the purchase of any property or construction of any work by or for the authority.(b) A person commits an offense if the person violates this section. An offense under this subsection is a felony punishable by:(1) a fine not to exceed $10,000;(2) confinement in the institutional division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for not less than one year or more than 10 years; or(3) both the fine and confinement.
