(a) Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, Chapter 49, Water Code, applies to the authority.(b) This chapter does not prevail over or preempt a provision of Chapter 36, Water Code, or Chapter 8801 or 8834 of this code that is being implemented by the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District or Fort Bend Subsidence District, as applicable.(c) Chapter 36, Water Code, does not apply to the authority.
