Texas Legal Code
(a) To be eligible to serve as a director or to be listed on a ballot as a candidate for director, an individual must:(1) be at least 18 years of age;(2) be a resident of this state;(3) own land in or be a qualified voter in the authority; and(4) have served as a director of one or more districts for a total of at least two years.(b) To be eligible to serve as a director representing a director precinct or to be listed on a ballot as a candidate for director representing a director precinct under Section 8815.055, in addition to satisfying the requirements under Subsection (a), an individual must own land or be a qualified voter within the director precinct.(c) A director serves until the director's successor has qualified.
