(a) A person who wants to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must present to the board secretary a petition requesting that action.(b) The petition must be:(1) signed by at least 10 residents of the district who are registered voters; and(2) presented to the secretary not later than the 11th day before the date of the election.
