§ 68.039

(a) A person appointed as a pilot must take the official oath before entering service as a pilot. The oath shall be endorsed on the bond required by Subsection (b).(b) Each pilot must execute a $25,000 bond payable to the governor and conditioned on compliance with the laws, rules, and orders relating to pilots and on the faithful performance of the pilot's duties.(c) Each bond must be approved by the board. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
