Unless otherwise required by law, and subject to Chapter 441, Government Code, the department may dispose of or destroy a record that the department determines is not required for the performance of the department's duties and functions. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
