In this subchapter, 'telecommunications' means any transmission, emission, or reception of signs, signals, writings, images, or sounds of intelligence of any nature by wire, radio, optical, or other electromagnetic systems. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1171, Sec. 1.20, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
