A road superintendent is liable for:(1) the loss, injury, or destruction of machinery or a tool or vehicle placed under the road superintendent's control by the commissioners court unless the road superintendent was not at fault; and(2) the improper expenditure of any money for roads entrusted to the road superintendent.
