The commissioners court may purchase or lease a ferry property and operate the property over the route to be traversed by a project under this chapter during the period that the project is being constructed. The cost of the purchase or lease of the ferry property may be paid from the proceeds of the bonds issued for the project. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
