For the purposes of this subchapter, the governing body may acquire necessary property or property rights by gift, devise, purchase, or condemnation in the same manner that the governing body may acquire property for a municipal street. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
