After receipt of a petition under Section 311.073, the election shall be held on the first uniform election date prescribed by Section 41.001, Election Code, that allows sufficient time to comply with other requirements of law. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
