§ 366.184

(a) Consistent with general law, an authority shall:(1) set goals for the award of contracts to disadvantaged businesses and attempt to meet the goals;(2) attempt to identify disadvantaged businesses that provide or have the potential to provide supplies, materials, equipment, or services to the authority; and(3) give disadvantaged businesses full access to the authority's contract bidding process, inform the businesses about the process, offer the businesses assistance concerning the process, and identify barriers to the businesses' participation in the process.(b) This section does not exempt an authority from competitive bidding requirements provided by other law. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1171, Sec. 7.24, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
