(a) The petition must be accompanied by a reasonable fee in an amount determined by the commission not to exceed $5,000. The commission may not refund the fee or any part of the fee.(b) The commission shall use the fee to pay costs of processing the petition. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
