Texas Legal Code
(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the department may issue a title for a farm trailer or farm semitrailer with a gross vehicle weight of not more than 34,000 pounds if all requirements for issuance of a title are met.(b) To obtain a title under this section, the owner must:(1) apply for the title in the manner required by Section 501.023; and(2) pay the fee required by Section 501.138.(c) A subsequent purchaser of a farm trailer or farm semitrailer titled previously under this section or in another jurisdiction must obtain a title under this section.
