Texas Legal Code
(a) The department shall issue specialty license plates for a commercial motor vehicle used as a tow truck. The license plates must include the words 'Tow Truck.' A vehicle used commercially as a tow truck shall display license plates issued under this section.(b) There is no fee for issuance of the license plates.(c) Proof of eligibility for license plates under this section must include a copy of the permit certificate issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for the tow truck.(d) Repealed by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1296, Sec. 247(19), eff.
