(a) The department shall issue specialty license plates in support of the Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The department shall design the license plates in consultation with the Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.(b) After deduction of the department's administrative costs, the remainder of the fee for issuance of the license plates:(1) shall be deposited to the credit of the general revenue fund; and(2) may be appropriated only to the Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for direct services programs, training, and education.
