§ 521.275

(a) The department shall issue to a person a new driver's license number or personal identification certificate number on the person's showing a court order stating that the person has been the victim of domestic violence.(b) The department may require each applicant to furnish the information required by Section 521.142. If the applicant's name has changed, the department may require evidence identifying the applicant by both the former and new name.(c) Except as provided by Sections 521.049(c), 730.005, and 730.006, the department may not disclose:(1) the changed license or certificate number; or(2) the person's name or any former name.
