§ 521.348

(a) A driver's license is automatically revoked if the holder of the license:(1) is subject to the registration requirements of Chapter 62, Code of Criminal Procedure; and(2) fails to apply to the department for renewal of the license as required by Article 62.060 or 62.2021, Code of Criminal Procedure, as applicable.(b) The department may issue a driver's license to a person whose license is revoked under this section only if the person:(1) applies for an original or renewal license under Section 521.272; and(2) is otherwise qualified for the license.
