(a) In addition to other costs, the court shall order a person convicted of a misdemeanor under this subtitle to pay a fine of $3.(b) The officer who collects a fine under this section shall:(1) deposit in the municipal treasury a fine collected in a municipal court case; and(2) deposit in the county treasury a fine collected in a justice court case or in a county court case, including a case appealed from a justice or municipal court.(c) In this section, 'conviction' has the meaning assigned by Section 133.101, Local Government Code.
